Why Transplant Art?
I believe that is what you do. You place art in an environment where it blends seamlessly or shouts for attention. Or in a perfect situation both.
As California native and lifelong member of San Francisco now living in the Boston area, I know what it's like to blend in, while also wanting to stick out. What felt like three soul-crushing lifetimes in the SF advertising world, I stepped away to cultivate what has always been a passion of mine - stencil-based street art. But rather than put up pieces on building façades illegally, I prefer to work on canvas, turning what some would call a menace into what some would call art.
Can I really "commission" art?
I work primarily on a commission basis. What does that mean? If you want to design unique piece of art allowing you to control the canvas size, color palette and overall concept - that doesn't require you to take out a second mortgage - I'm your man. Most of the pieces featured here range between $100-$500. However, some pieces can be north of that.
Prices are dependent on canvas size and concept complexity, but Transplant Art is for the reasonably-budgeted mindset. Quotes are quick and commitment-free. List and quoted prices are exclusive of shipping & handling expenses.
I paint in a specific style (primarily spray paint stencils on an acrylic background), so no watercolor pirate ships and sunset requests please. But if you like what you see and/or can envision your story, your concept or your personal decor in my Transplant Art style please feel free to email me at transplantart@gmail.com (More information on the Contact Me section).
